How to Make Your Own Carpet Deodorizer

Many people, especially those with pets, spend a fortune each year on products to remove odors from soft flooring surfaces. But you don’t have to do that. It is quite easy to make your own carpet deodorizer from essential oils and simple organic products you already have in your home.

All you need is a glass jar, some essential oils of your choosing and a box of baking soda. Simply add 100 drops of to ½ cup of baking soda. Then all you need to do is put the lid on the jar, give it a good shake and let it sit for at least 24 hours. Then just use as you would the expensive stuff from the supermarket. The longer that you let the powder sit, the stronger it will become. The cost of the expensive carpet deodorizers in the store can be up to 3 or 4 dollars a box or bottle, and that will last you one or two uses. The cost of this recipe is less than 1 dollar. You also have the added benefit of not having artificial chemicals in your home which can be harmful to your family and pets.
