Essential Oils for Concentration and Focus

Aromatherapy has been used for many years to aid in concentration and focus. In testing atmospheres, different essential oils have been evaluated for their individual performances. Peppermint essential oil is a known concentration enhancer, and while it also helps with nausea and sore muscles, it’s focusing properties are one of the best uses for it. Many times during tests Peppermint candy is given to the test takers and the results show that Peppermint has been proven to help raise test scores. Peppermint has also been known to help with headaches; this is an essential oil you should absolutely keep on hand, since it has so very many different and valuable uses. Peppermint oil is a fabulous “do-it-all” to keep in your medicine cabinet at all times.
Rosemary is also a vital energy increasing essential oil, which also aids in muscle pain and weakness often associated with arthritis and sore muscles from being overworked.

Adding the Peppermint or Rosemary essential oil to unscented candles in an office or the area where you work, or by using a reed diffuser can be very effective ways to help aid in concentration. Another unique way to incorporate essential oils and aromatherapy into your study/ focus time could be to rub the Peppermint or Rosemary oils into your book mark, for a constant, subtle fragrance, that will aid in concentration.
