Ibogaine- Alternative Medicine in the Battle with Addiction

Ibogaine is an herbal product made from an indigenous African plant, Tabernanthe iboga; it has been used by the native Bhiwi tribe for centuries for religious ceremonies and spiritual vision quests.

In 1962 however that all changed when a New York based Heroin addict named Howard Lotsof, took Ibogaine believing it to be the latest and greatest in illicit party drugs.
